20th International Conference on Plasma Surface Interactions

May 21, 2012 - May 25, 2012 | Aachen, Germany

Scope

The objective of the 20th PSI Conference is to provide
and exchange the most recent scientific knowledge on
the physical processes at the interface between fusion
plasmas and the plasma-facing components and to
evaluate their implications for the coming generation
of fusion machines.

Topics

• Physics Processes at the Plasma-Material Interface
• Plasma Fuelling, Recycling, and Retention
• Wall Conditioning and Tritium Removal Techniques
• Impurity Sources, Transport, and Control
• Material Erosion, Migration, Mixing, and Dust Formation
• Plasma Boundary Physics and Main Chamber Interaction
• Plasma Exhaust and Density Control
• Power Exhaust and Heat Load Control
• Plasma Edge and First Wall Diagnostics
• Plasma Surface Interaction in the
Steady-State Reactor Regime

Proceedings

High quality papers, contributing to the practical
application and development of PSI knowledge in present
plasma devices and future reactors will be considered for
publication. Papers written on the basis of invited, oral and
selected poster contributions will be published after peer
review and evaluation in a dedicated issue of Journal of
Nuclear Materials.
